TANGO RESTAURANTE, PUERTO BANÚS
Based on a monochrome colour pallet, we created an intimate dining atmosphere for diners to enjoy a traditional Argentinian dining experience. The main fabric used throughout the interior is a statement cow hide, creating a bold impact and representing the “steak house” theme.
We introduced complimentary skin effect wall coverings on selected walls of the dining area & washrooms. We implemented curved booth seating areas for larger groups of diners, repeating the cow hide fabric. On the restaurants main level, we created a focal point by positioning a baby grand piano on a raised platform, of which is precisely illuminated at night.
We positioned electric fires in key areas to create an inviting atmosphere, especially on winter evenings.
On the upper floor on the restaurant – which is accessed by a spiral staircase, again – clad in cow-hide, we find the “prive” area – a champagne bar & function room for larger events. This level was designed with more of a modern & fresh approach, using lighter colours than the lower floor.
We featured textured wallpaper to highlight important walls – such as a glossy gold backdrop behind the bar area and a patterned velvet wallpaper on the wall in the private dining area.
As with any project, especially a commercial interior, the lighting played a crucial role.
We played with various illuminated logos of the restaurant, installing them on important walls. We carefully appointed up & down lighters and colour changing LED strip lights featured throughout.
